Our Story
Kinetic Spearfishing was born from a relentless passion for the ocean, adventure, and the pursuit of mastery. What started as an obsession—spearfishing the deep blue waters of Guam—turned into a lifelong mission to push the boundaries of the sport. Today, we provide Southern California’s most elite spearfishing charters, getting you to the fishing grounds faster, smarter, and better equipped than anyone else.

The Owner – Joseph “Blake” Kutach
When it comes to discipline, endurance, and tactical knowledge, few bring more to the table than Joseph “Blake” Kutach. A retired Navy SEAL with 20 years of service, Blake has operated in some of the most demanding environments on the planet. After an aortic aneurysm diagnosis in 2016 forced him to pivot from an active deployment role, he turned to spearfishing as a form of therapy, challenge, and purpose.
A Texas native turned San Diego local, Blake grew up hunting and exploring the wild—long before the ocean became his battlefield and sanctuary. After discovering the therapeutic power of the sea, he co-founded Kinetic Spearfishing in 2018, merging his love for precision engineering, elite-level spearfishing, and training the next generation of watermen.
